The MINI Cooper SE Convertible is the latest addition to the British brand's growing portfolio of electric vehicles. The first fully electric convertible from MINI made its global debut in London on June 8, 2023, showcasing its unique design, performance, and sustainability features.
A new era of open-air driving
The MINI Cooper SE Convertible combines the fun and freedom of open-air driving with the efficiency and environmental benefits of electric mobility. The MINI Cooper SE Convertible electric car has a range of up to 233 kilometers (145 miles) on a single charge, according to the WLTP cycle, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.1 seconds. The car also features a clever roof mechanism that can open or close in 18 seconds, even while driving at speeds of up to 30 km/h (19 mph).
The MINI Cooper SE Convertible is powered by a 135 kW (184 hp) electric motor that delivers 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque to the front wheels. The battery pack has a capacity of 32.6 kWh and can be charged from 0 to 80% in 36 minutes using a DC fast charger or in 2.5 hours using an AC wallbox. The car also has a regenerative braking system that recovers energy when decelerating and feeds it back to the battery.
The car offers four driving modes: Sport, Mid, Green, and Green+. The Sport mode enhances the steering and acceleration response, while the Mid mode balances performance and efficiency. The Green mode optimizes energy consumption by reducing the power output of the heating and air conditioning system, while the Green+ mode further limits the comfort functions to extend the range.
